About Jail and Bail

How does Jail-N-Bail work?

A snitch contacts the Cindi's Angels requesting the arrest of a boss, co-worker, friend, relative or other person on a "trumped-up charge". Examples of such charges may include theft of office pens, failing to yield at the end of a sentence and trafficking caffeine.

When the arrest is a surprise, the snitch is encouraged to check that the jailbird's calendar is clear. 

Jailbirds are requested to voluntarily turn themselves in, where the jailbird appears before a volunteer judge to answer to the "trumped-up charge". The judge sets bail and sentences the jailbird to serve time to try to raise the bail. The jailbird is allowed to use their cell phone so the jailbird can call family members, co-workers, friends, neighbors and acquaintances in order to raise bail.

At the time of their arrest, jailbirds should be reminded to bring their “little black book” so they will have their personal contact listing in order to make calling easier.

Jailbirds can also be arrested as a team, better known as a “chain gang”. Friends, family members and co-workers are thrown in jail together and sentenced to raise bail as a group. Chain gangs consist of at least 3 members.

How does the Cindi's Angels use the funds Jail-N-Bail raises in the fight against cancer?

Funds raised through Jail-N-Bail support Cindi's Angels mission to wipe out blood cancer.

• Funds go to LLS Light the Night Walk.

• Funds raised through The Light The Night Walk:

  • Fund breakthrough therapies for blood cancer patients.
  • Provides Free educational materials, support programs and events.
  • Powers advocacy to ensure access to treatments.
  • Helps provide personalized assistance through our Information Resource Center.

Types of Jail-N-Bail arrests

What is the difference between a self-arrest and a nominated arrest?

A self-arrest occurs when a jailbird arranges his or her own arrest. This gives the jailbird several days or weeks before the event to collect pledges and raise bail.

A nominated arrest happens when a snitch nominates someone, such as a friend, co-worker or relative, to be arrested for a good cause. Nominated Jailbirds will receive a warrant for their arrest on their facebook wall.

As with individual jailbirds, chain gangs can arrange their own arrest or the arrest can be a surprise.

As a snitch, how do I make the experience positive for the jailbird and help avoid any unpleasant surprises?

You should assist in the Jail-N-Bail fun by taking the following precautions before your jailbird's arrest:

• Check that charges against the jailbird are fun-spirited and not authentic-sounding.
• Collect pledges on behalf of the jailbird from co-workers and friends.
• Meet the sheriffs to turn in their Application for Warrant.
• Tell the jailbird, that you have filled out the Applications, and make sure they are available for turn in

What are some of the sample charges jailbirds can face?

Snitches and jailbirds are free to create their own phony charges as long as they are in good humor and taste. Please note that Sheriff and the judge read the charges to the jailbird at the time of sentencing.Jail-N-Bail is meant to be fun so please keep with the spirit of the event and keep the charges in good humor and respectful of the jailbird.

How do I snitch on someone for the Cindi's Angels Jail-N-Bail?

Can I register a jailbird on the day of the event?

Yes. You can nominate a jailbird at the event by filling out an Application with the sheriff. Online registration will be shut down Sept 8th, but you can still turn in written applications before the event to Cindi or Lori. We encourage jailbirds and snitches to register in advance so they have plenty of time to raise bail and work out the arrest details, and have a warrant issued.

Is there an arrest fee?

Yes. The first arrest, the snitch has to pay $3 per person. You can have your friends, family, co workers, etc arrested as many times as you want. The second arrest and every time after that costs $5. A snitch can have a chain gang (3 or more people) arrested as well for $10 the first time, and $15 every time after that. Warrant fees are due before a warrant is issued. 

How do I raise money online?

You can raise your bail and post it here. Bail posted online, should be posted under the jail birds or chain gangs name. 

Remember, the more money you raise online ahead of time, the less time you have to spend in jail.

Do I have to collect the donations from the people who have agreed to pledge me?

Yes. If you are a jailbird and have arrested yourself, you should ask your donors to give you their generous donation when they pledge you, except for online pledges, which are paid by credit card during the online pledging process. All pledged are due by the end of the event. If a donor writes a check all checks Must be written out to LLS.

Ask your Spouse for $10. Your total is now: $10

Ask 10 friends to donate $5. Your total is now: $80

There you have it. By doing the following, not only have you paid your bail. You've raised even more. Which means, in the event the sheriffs are bribed, or a friend puts out a second or 3rd warrant for your arrest, you have enough money to get out of jail 3 times.

Sept 14th is looming on the horizon, and your arrest is coming..

It's time to gather up your friends, bosses,
innocent children, and random strangers.
Why? Well, to have them arrested
by one of our deputies and dragged into the
slammer where they'll be tormented by horrible
jokes, and silly banter.


Their only escape?
The prisoner has to bribe, wheedle, coerce, or beg
$100 from friends, family, and the general public
in order to post bail.

Be warned, however, because revenge is sweet.
Especially, when Sheriffs Cindi and Lori
are on hand and all to happy to collect that $50
to arrest You on some trumped up charge!

You can post warrants for anyone to be arrested. Friends, Family, Children (14+), Strangers, co workers,etc.
Put out a warrant for someone:  $3 per person
1st Bond is set at :  $50 per person
Warrant for chain gangs (3 or more people): $10
1st Bond for Chain Gangs: $75
You may not post bond for yourself but can for each other or a friend.
You can be re-arrested if your friends feel you are too bad to be set free!!
To Raise bond, ask all your friends until they donate enough to get you .
Re Arrest will cost the person requesting it :  $5
2nd Bond will be set at :  $75 per person
Re Arrest for Chain Gangs: $15
2nd Bond for Chain Gangs: $125
There is no limit to the times you can be rearrested!!!!!!!

TO HAVE SOMEONE ARRESTED:

If you fill out the form below before Sept 8th and turn it back in to Cindi Varin or Lori Britton, you and the person you are having arrested will receive a texture warrant and WANTED poster if head shot is added to our blog.
To have someone arrested the day of the event, see one of the Team Leaders to get form or fill out form during the event and turn in.
No warrants or wanted posters will be available to those who sign up after Sept. 8th.
Snitches who sign jail birds up early must pay warrant fee to the sheriff or online before warrant is issued.
FEES MUST BE PAID AT THE SHERIFF'S TABLE (or to Cindi or Lori for those signing up early) AND YOU MUST LET ONE OF THE SHERIFF'S OR JAIL GUARDS KNOW BEFORE PAYING ANY FEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
